We are seeking a passionate and driven Theatre Practitioner to be part of our dedicated team, working full-time on a permanent basis. You will have the chance to shape your career while providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a flexible and varied inpatient theatre environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality patient-focused care.
2. Provide and maintain a safe environment for all patients attending theatres.
3. Coordinate and facilitate inpatient care with minimal supervision.
4. Act as a role model and work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
5. Assist in emergency situations and initiate emergency procedures in line with policy.
6. Act as the patients’ advocate.
7. Liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
8. Maintain clinical competence in all areas of practice relevant to the post.
9. Ensure cleaning standards are maintained throughout the shift.
10. Maintain the privacy and dignity of patients at all times.
11. Collect patients from the wards and escort them to theatre.
12. Maintain accurate clinical records.
13. Work flexibly across the theatres as required.
14. Ensure adherence to quality initiatives within the theatres environment.
15. Supervise junior colleagues.
16. Deliver training for 1:1 induction and ongoing training for new and temporary staff, mentorship for students, and preceptorship for newly qualified staff.
17. Manage conflicting priorities and switch tasks with little notice.
