Salary: Starting at £23,000 - £25,000 (+ overtime + travel allowances)

The Role:
The IT Hardware Installations Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering the company’s hardware solutions directly to clients. Working from the depot in Kidderminster, the successful candidate will travel to client sites nationwide to complete physical IT hardware installations, ensuring each setup meets the company’s high standards. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with an interest in practical IT hardware work. The position requires flexibility for travel and occasional overnight stays, with all travel expenses fully covered. Key Responsibilities:
1. Travel to various customer sites across the country to perform IT hardware installations, delivering reliable service and ensuring each setup aligns with client specifications.
2. Assist in the configuration and testing of physical IT equipment (hardware only, no software installations) to meet installation requirements.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during installations, working closely with the technical team as necessary.
4. Ensure careful handling and safe transport of equipment from the Kidderminster depot to customer sites.
5. Keep detailed installation records, including reporting on hardware performance and addressing any challenges that arise.
6. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to provide a positive experience, answering any hardware-related questions.
Requirements:
1. Practical interest in IT hardware (experience with hardware installations or technical support preferred).
2. Willingness to travel nationwide and stay overnight when necessary.
3. Customer-focused with strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
4. Detail-oriented with the ability to follow specific installation procedures.
5. Must be 21 years or older to meet the requirements for company vehicle insurance.
6. Valid driver’s license for travel from the Kidderminster depot to client sites.
