An exciting opportunity to join FM Conway as a Project Manager within our growing Street Lighting division. As our Project Manager you will play a vital role in planning, executing and finalising the delivery of our high-profile street lighting schemes in Central London. This will include leading a team, providing support and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a very high standard. This is a permanent, full time position based from our West Drayton depot.
The duties of the Project Manager role will include:
-Providing support to the pre-contracts team when putting together tenders, as well as advising on buildability, health and safety documentation and preparation of the tender programme
-Managing, coordinating and reviewing tender information and designs for the team
-Preparing the contract programme and managing project timelines and deliverables
-Proactively managing changes in the project scope, identifying potential issues and devising contingency plans accordingly
-Identifying opportunities throughout the project life cycle with regards to construction methodology, site resources and materials
-Ensuring that works are set up and maintained in accordance with Lighting Safe Systems of work, as well as building and developing site specific risk and method statements ensuring the highest levels of health and safety
-Assisting the Commercial team with the production of the monthly valuation, cost value report and cost plan including compensations events
What skills and experience do you need?
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who has proven experience working in street lighting and highways infrastructure. You will have in depth knowledge of street lighting project planning and programming and be able to effectively manage and lead a team. A strong background in electrical installations, NEC contacts and HERS/NERS compliance is a must. You will hold a NRSWA for Supervisors certification, SMSTS, IOSH health and safety qualification or equivalent and emergency first aid qualification. Travel to other company locations will be required therefore, you must possess a full UK driving license.
