The Orthopaedic and Trauma Department is based in the two Major Teaching Hospitals in the City of Cardiff, the Capital of Wales.
The post is attached to the Cardiff Upper Limb Team at the University Hospital Llandough and serves a local population of 500,000 and provides a tertiary referral service for a population of 1.5 million.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will gain experience in Elbow/Shoulder replacement Surgery and arthroscopic surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in ongoing research projects together with specific research.
The Post Holder will be expected to work at specialist Registrar level and will participate in the specialist Registrar on-call rota at Llandough Hospital.

* MBBS or equivalent
* Training in Radiation Protection or agreement to attend next available course
* FRCS (Tr & Orth) completed
* Intercalated Degree
* MSc or PHD
