We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Data and Application Integration Team within our Data department for up to 24 months. This role supports the RNLI by developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and service-orientated solutions to ensure reliable and efficient communication between systems or data stores.

Your role
As a Software Engineer specialising in a SOA approach, you will focus on the following areas:
* Developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and service-oriented solutions to ensure reliable and efficient communication between systems.
* Implementing and optimising messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus.
* Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate solutions into the broader data ecosystem.
* Monitoring and optimising the performance of production systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
* Providing technical support and guidance to other team members on best practices for a SOA approach.
About you
You’ll be a technology or change specialist with a solid background in data and/or the design and development of end-to-end data-centric solutions. You should have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for knowledge growth. You will also be used to working with non-technical people on one side and technicians on the other.
To be considered as our Software Engineer, you will need:
* Significant experience with SOA, Azure Service Bus, and/or data integration.
* Practical experience in developing, supporting and deploying integration solutions.
* Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
