About The Role
The role of Finance Manager will oversee Midnight Creative Group’s end-end finance operations and manage the finance team. Being responsible for the group’s month end reporting, liaising with auditors and ensuring the procedures and controls are operating effectively whilst recommending improvements where needed. This role will be based in our Leeds office.
What you'll be doing:
* Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
* Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries.
* Budgeting and forecasting.
* Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings.
* Acting as the first point of contact for our external auditors and managing that process.
* Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
* Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
* Managing the weekly payment run process.
* Leading the team responsible for payroll, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
* Managing the M.I. and our project management system to ensure the information being reported is reliable and always agrees to the finance system.
ABOUT YOURSELF
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* 2+ years of experience or more in a similar role
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Strong Excel and modelling skills
* Experience creating monthly management accounts would be beneficial
* Experience of AP and AR functions from either in house or as an external auditor
* Previous experience using accounting software such as Sage/Quickbooks/Zero is desirable
* Produced/reviewed budgets and forecasts
* Experience running an annual audit
* Agency experience is advantageous
