We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Primary Care team at HMP Thorn Cross, a Category D prison based in Warrington.
In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
This post is one day a week at HMP YOI Thorn Cross.
Hours: 7.5 hours for one day.
This position is one day a week, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £58,000 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As a Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Undertake Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills
* Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues
* Carry out comprehensive assessments, while initiating and reviewing individual recovery plans
* Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting
* Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence
* Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after

Qualifications & Experience required
* Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPHC, HCPC)
* Non-medical prescribing qualification
* Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery
* Knowledge of national standards that inform practice (e.g., National Service Frameworks, NICE guidelines, etc.)
