The purpose of this role is to provide me with company and conversation, getting me out and about and doing the things I enjoy.
I am in my late eighties and live in a care home in Seaford. I have dementia and having regular one-to-one interaction really helps me by providing stimulation and company.
What I most like about having a PA is having a chat. I like talking about my childhood growing up in Wales and looking through photographs of my life.
I like doing having a go at crosswords and looking through magazines. I used to do a lot of arts and crafts so having someone who can show me or do crafts with me is something I enjoy.
I enjoy having my nails painted, hand and foot massages. It makes me feel relaxed.
My care home is close to the seafront, so I like to be taken out in a wheelchair to look at the sea and watch the people walking by. I also like to go for a coffee.
