Due to further development, we are looking for some additional enthusiastic, experienced & resilient Teaching Assistants to join our new dedicated Ofsted rated Good SEN School in Gunnislake.
We are particularly looking for experienced role models for pupils that enjoys the company of others and that have a sense of humour. The best person to support our pupils would have had experience supporting pupils who experience can anxiety or sensory processing challenges. We would like the successful candidate to help develop our pupil's identity and self-worth.
You should also have experience in working with children who have learning disabilities and complex needs, who may need support with safety.
All our Teaching Assistant posts provide the opportunity to develop into other roles.
As a Teaching Assistant some of your day-to-day activities will include:
* assisting and encouraging the children with their learning
* supporting the children with any barriers to learning which may include their anxiety or sensory processing challenges
* Supporting the assessment and evidencing of pupil's attainment on their learning journey
Working hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 8:30 - 15:40, Wednesday 8:30 - 16:30 & Friday 8:30 - 15:15. Hours may be negotiable for the right candidate.
Term Time only contract working 39 weeks per year, paid for 44.6 weeks in 12 monthly increments.
Salary £27,040 pro rata. Term time only contract, 36.25 hours per week. Which gives a yearly take-home of £21,017.75 (£13 per hour). This will increase to £22,634.50 (£14 per hour) take home after one year of service.
