To be considered for this role, you must have: HACCP Level 3 (minimum) High-care food production experience Strong knowledge of food safety regulations Understanding of SALSA or BRC accreditation requirements Job Summary: As a hands-on Production Manager, you will oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high product quality in a high-care environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage daily operations, maintain food safety standards, and optimise workflows while fostering a strong team culture. Key Responsibilities: Production & Process Management: Oversee and manage end-to-end production activities to meet operational targets. Ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel. Continuously identify and implement process improvements. Maintain accurate production records and reports. Food Safety & Compliance: Uphold and enforce high-care hygiene and sanitation standards. Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety regulations, and SALSA requirements. Conduct regular internal audits and maintain documentation. Leadership & Team Management: Lead, train, and develop a small but dedicated production team. Oversee scheduling and shift management to ensure smooth operations. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Quality Control & Health & Safety Ensure all products meet the required specifications. Investigate and resolve any quality or process issues. Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health & safety regulations. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a high-care food production environment. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations. Experience working within a SALSA-accredited facility (preferred). Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure. Strong organisational and record-keeping skills. Must be able to work the set hours: 07:00 - 15:00, Monday - Friday. Due to the location, own transport (car/motorbike) is essential.
