Duties & Responsibilities
* Review project proposal/plan to determine time frame, funding margins, and procedures
* Ensure direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout, managing costs, and maximizing profitability
* Resolve daily issues that may arise effectively to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable project
* Resolve all conflicts and misunderstandings in the contract & specification
* Review constructability constraints by identifying value engineering opportunities
* Prepare project reports for management and customers
* Prepare and collect change orders and ensure work is delegated appropriately
* Develop and communicate a QAS/QC plan - including specific responsibilities and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum 5 years experience with managing construction projects
* Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred
* Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawing
* Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
* Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills
* Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Education
* Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
