If the answer to the above is yes, then you may be interested in the Sustainability Manager I am currently recruiting for. The role is working with one of the world's leading infrastructure and civil engineering construction companies. The company has global revenues of over €19 billion annually and is currently engaged on some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure projects in Europe. This role will be working within a dedicated team on a Multi-Billion pound scheme.
Key responsibilities of the Sustainability Manager will include:
1. Oversee all sustainability aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with project requirements and broader sustainability strategies.
2. Provide guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from design to delivery, while also mentoring and upskilling Sustainability team members.
3. Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements, and internal standards, while gathering and reporting project-specific data to meet key performance indicators and certification requirements.
4. Collaborate with the supply chain to ensure adherence to sustainability principles, identify trends, develop improvement initiatives, and carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
The successful Sustainability Manager requires:
1. Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline.
2. Professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM).
3. Demonstrable Sustainability experience ideally within large Infrastructure, Civil engineering, or related industry.
4. Strategic thinker with excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
