Summary - Senior Mechanical Engineer: Reporting to the Associate Director, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will work across diverse sectors, undertaking various design projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, education, plant replacement, and sustainability. Responsibilities encompass project design, management, and supervision, with coordination across disciplines. The role also involves Technical Due Diligence (TDD), dilapidation surveys, PPM, and audit surveys of M&E installations within buildings. Responsibilities and Duties: Design, manage, and supervise projects, establishing client briefs, technical requirements, and cost plans. Agree on the level of service, project duties, and fee relationships for each project. Assist in monitoring engineering/CAD resource requirements. Undertake engineering concept design, tender, and on-site contract supervision to completion. Liaise with the design team to produce coordinated designs and contribute positively to design/project meetings. Manage and participate in site inspections, building service audits, and various surveys. Monitor project progress, design variations, and financial budgets. Maintain client and design team relationships for high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Pursue new business opportunities with existing and new clients. Assist in identifying and implementing personal training and CPD requirements. Contribute to developing working practices within the Company. Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects. Implement company health and safety measures and ensure designs comply with CDM regulations. Implement requirements for ISO9001 and ISO4001. Qualifications and Skills: Preferably at least 5 years' experience and/or a degree in Building Services engineering. In-depth knowledge of Building Services practices, procedures, and standards, particularly principles of Electrical and Mechanical Design and Engineering Compliance. Proficient in the use of Office 365, IES, TAS, MEPworx, or similar design programs. Working knowledge of CAD and Revit is advantageous.
