Job summary
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking to employ a Cyber Security Officer. The successful candidate will support the Health Board's Cyber Security Programme. This role will be specifically focused on dealing with the management and monitoring of key security related systems, particularly focusing on secure configurations, data and information security, and governance.
Main duties of the job
As part of a busy team, the main responsibility of this post is to work with the multi-disciplinary teams within the Informatics Department, the wider organization and national service providers supporting the use and development of monitoring and management of relevant systems management toolsets - relating to telephony, networking servers and endpoints.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should be educated to degree level, preferably in a computer science related subject, or have appropriate / equivalent experience. Previous experience with core cyber security and leading application vendors is desirable. Experience within an NHS environment would be advantageous. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
Essential
* Relevant BSc or equivalent experience, with evidence of specialist knowledge acquired through training and experience.
* Commitment to continuing professional development for self.
Desirable
* Relevant Technology (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco) training and/or qualifications.
* ITIL Foundation Certificate.
* Cyber Security training and/or qualifications.
Experience
Essential
* Experience of working in a technical support role and proven experience in the development and support of IT systems.
* Experience of taking a lead role in developing and implementing IT systems and services (including security elements).
Desirable
* A variety of cyber security software - please describe.
