Job Title: Business Development Manager

Our client is a fast-growing company in the renewable energy sector, seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join their team as the Business Development Manager in Scotland. Based in Glasgow, you will be instrumental in driving sales and expanding business within the rapidly growing Scottish market.
As the Business Development Manager, you will lead new business efforts, manage existing customer relationships, and collaborate closely with internal and external teams to deliver exceptional customer service and grow market share. This is a full-time position, offering a great opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and manage a pipeline of potential customers.
Understand competitors, identify how the company stands out, and win business from companies not yet engaged with our client.
Develop new customer relationships from initial contact to loyal partnerships.
Expand existing customer base to increase spending, loyalty, and software use.
Build a wide network of industry professionals, leveraging supplier partnerships to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
Attend networking events and collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads.
Support the wider team in various tasks to contribute to overall business growth.
Requirements & Skills:
Ideally, two years of experience in business development or sales.
Experience in renewable energy, especially solar PV, battery storage, or renewable heat products, is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent people skills with a commercial mindset.
Ability to quickly grasp technical details and identify opportunities.
IT literate and proficient in using technology to achieve sales goals.
Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced sales environment.
