Head of Finance - Carlisle - Salary dependent on experience

Our client, a market-leading, growing Group business based in Carlisle, has created an exciting new role for a senior finance professional to join them on a permanent basis as Head of Finance. The successful candidate will oversee the management of the Finance function, leading a team of 4, and ensuring robust financial controls and procedures are in place to enable timely reporting to the senior management. Your new role
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, typical duties will include:
1. Overall management of the finance team
2. Ensure the maintenance of robust financial controls and procedures
3. Cash flow management
4. Produce and analyse weekly financial results
5. Weekly monitoring and reporting on progress against KPIs
6. Production of Monthly Reporting Packs
7. Financial analysis and variance analysis
8. Assistance in preparation of corporate and investor packs
9. Fixed asset control and Capex expenditure
10. External audit/HMRC/Statutory and regulatory requirements
11. Project due diligence
12. Preparation of annual budget and forecasts
13. Overall ownership of accounting and related systems
14. Use of Company platforms, databases, storage mechanisms, software and hardware supplied, in order to store, record and compile information efficiently
15. Determine when an issue requires escalation and do so as necessary
16. Continual development and improvement of finance provision within the company
17. Maintain Company and client confidentiality at all times
18. To be able to lead the finance team to achieve the company performance targets
19. Adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times in particular the Company's Health and Safety policy

What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA)
Min of 5 years experience in a Financial / Management accounting position
Up-to-date technical accounting experience
Strong analytical skills and the ability to demonstrate detail behind the numbers
Hands-on approach
Strong communicator
Business partner with senior stakeholders
Team player with the ability to maintain effective internal and external working relationships.

Full-time role 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility - Office based
