Fresh Produce Farm Manager
Location: Warwickshire
Salary: £50, per annum + Company Car .
Key Responsibilities:
1. Crop Management:
Plan, organise, and oversee the cultivation of fresh produce on the farm.Implement and maintain best practices in planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.Monitor and optimise crop yields to ensure high-quality and quantity.
2. Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team of farm workers.Provide guidance and leadership to ensure a productive and positive working environment.Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
3. Operational Planning:
Develop and implement annual farm plans, considering crop rotation, soil health, and sustainability.Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of farm activities with overall business objectives.Monitor and manage budgets to achieve financial targets.
4. Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control measures to meet or exceed industry standards.Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and certifications.Implement and oversee traceability systems for fresh produce.
5. Equipment and Infrastructure:
Manage and maintain farm equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any repairs or upgrades as needed.Oversee infrastructure development to support efficient farm operations.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
Generate regular reports on farm performance, crop yields, and key performance indicators.Maintain accurate records of planting schedules, harvest data, and other relevant information.Provide updates to senior management on farm activities and performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
7. Proven experience in farm management, with a focus on fresh produce cultivation.
8. Strong leadership and team management skills.
9. In-depth knowledge of modern agricultural practices, crop management, and sustainability.
10. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
11. Ability to make data-driven decisions and implement process improvements.
12. Understanding of health and safety regulations in an agricultural setting.
13. Valid driver's license.
