Account Manager – Wholesale customers
£45-£48k
Based London/hybrid
Rare opportunity for an Account Manager to join this leading FMCG giant. Looking for an immediate or quick start in role!
This is a new role to grow and shape where you will have responsibility for building high level external and internal relationships, drive sales volume, distribution and brand share targets across a customer portfolio.
You will have have experience in another large FMCG business with an understanding of the alcohol category. Great move for a Wholesale Account Executive, an Account Manager or Key Account Manager looking for a career move.
Key Accountabilities:
* Profitably manage and motivate customers to do more business, growing market share and strengthening our brand positioning
* Deliver a growth budget while demonstrating a determined approach to win business
* Develop & deliver robust account plans for the next 1-3 years that drive business growth and share (including strategy and tactics and bottom-up promotional program by customer)
* Develop and maintain customer account plans that detail account background, sales/profit/brands objectives and marketing support plan for each customer
* Work closely with Brands, Insight & Customer Marketing to ensure distribution & volume objectives are met. Pursue business growth opportunities and drive Category Development
* Working with your customer marketing & category insight team to ensure that we have a full understanding of our customer’s vision retail & wholesale strategy
* Identify and close distribution gaps or brand opportunities and execute innovative plans to unlock all opportunities for growth
* Collaboration with peers to build a robust and reliable Sales & Operational Plan
* Conduct full review of investment and promotional activity in line with value management principles and tools
* Manage and optimise debt risk and cash flow & establish and execute pricing strategy, as necessary
Experience and Key Attributes:
You will need to demonstrate true entrepreneurial spirit, someone comfortable with ambiguity, capable of thinking big with passion that inspires a multifunctional cross functional team.
* FMCG and/or Drinks category experience
* Desire to make a material difference and can embrace change with a positive attitude
* Ensuring everyone maintains high standards right from delivery through to the customer
* Performance and results focused – able to deliver against challenging targets and timescales
* Ability to work cross functionally and lead/contribute across virtual teams
* High levels of Integrity and Initiative – able to respond to changes in the market, customers or internally
