We currently have three homes: Fairlie House in West Norwood with 45 beds, Highfield House in Purley with 45 beds, and Woodstown House in Banstead with 40 beds, which opened its doors to its first residents in April 2021. All three homes have achieved the highest rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we continually strive to maintain our Outstanding rating.
Main duties of the job
1. Delivering a high standard of evidence-based care to Residents.
2. Ensuring good standards of care for the Resident are maintained at all times.
3. Adhering to NMC Code of Professional conduct at all times.
4. Involving and supporting Residents, relatives, carers, and friends in the care process.
5. Promoting well-being and involving Residents and relatives in health education.
6. Ensuring clear and accurate written and verbal information is given at all times.
7. Ensuring contemporaneous record keeping at all times.
8. Seeking advice from more senior/experienced members of staff where appropriate.

We are growing our training team and are now looking for a Sister Charge Nurse for Highfield House in Purley. The successful candidates must be individuals with the motivation and drive to improve patient care and demonstrate Fairlie Healthcare's Core Values in their daily work.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration.
* Understanding of NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
* Proficiency in dispensing and administrating oral medication.
Experience
* The ability to manage and prioritise conflicting workloads.
* Interest in developing knowledge of the clinical specialty and own practice.
* The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations and work effectively under pressure.
* Able to manage patients' emotional needs and demonstrate empathy and caring.
* Ability to solve and escalate problems and issues as well as communicate effectively both written and verbal.
