An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer - Defence/Aerospace to join this Reading based Designer & Manufacturer of control panels, displays and fully integrated systems for various industries including Military, Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial. The role of Project Engineer - Defence/Aerospace will be based in Reading and the ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering background. The role will work closely with the Mechanical and Electronics engineers in planning, executing and managing a range of simple, medium and complex projects through to completion, within given timescales, managing milestones and budgets. This is a hands on role that would frequently require mechanical design work. Requirements of a Project Engineer - Defence/Aerospace - A degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or designing electro mechanical systems - Working in a team and managing multiple projects at once - Preparing, planning and tracking projects - Identifying risks and implementing risk management strategies - Having an awareness of MTBF calculations and reliability prediction calculations - Experience of using AutoCAD inventor software or similar software - Prince 2 qualified - Baseline security clearance required Benefits Package of a Project Engineer - Defence/Aerospace - Salary of £40,000-£45,000 per annum - 25 Days annual leave - Contributory Pension Scheme - Private Healthcare This is an exciting job opportunity for a Reading based Project Engineer - Defence/Aerospace in the Defence and Aerospace sector.
