Ward Clerk - Acute Integrated Frailty Unit

Job overview
Ward 1A Frailty is looking for a part-time ward clerk to support with day to day functioning on the ward. The successful applicant will be friendly & approachable with good basic IT skills and able to perform to a high standard in a fast paced, busy department.
Previous NHS / Admin Experience is preferred.
Main duties of the job
1. Answering telephones and directing calls / taking messages appropriately.
2. Ensuring workspace is kept clean and tidy and patient notes/ personal details are secured to avoid data security breaches and to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
3. Arranging ambulance transport for discharged patients to their home address.
4. Updating patient management system & dashboard to ensure reflective of ward activity.
5. General admin duties including filing and ordering stationary / documentation.
Person specification
Qualifications
* NVQ level 2/equivalent.
Experience
* Previous experience in a caring role.
Skills
* Ability to communicate clearly in written & spoken word.
* Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the Healthcare setting.
* Basic Computer Skills.
