The UK government has committed to legislating for ACDs, to be named Advance Choice Documents (https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/reforming-the-mental-health-act/reforming-the-mental-health-act) Black people (defined as people of Black African and Caribbean heritage, including those of mixed ethnicity) with mental illness are four times more likely to be detained under the MHA than white people with mental illness. The use of ACDs can reduce use of the MHA but there are barriers to their implementation. The post holder will provide administrative support to the Trust wide ACD team. To deliver a high standard of customer care as a representative of the service and the overall Trusts objectives. 3. Support the collection and updating of specific service-related information and activity to ensure required Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are input in a timely fashion onto required systems. 4.
