Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Lead Engineering Trainer Assessor the role is responsible for managing the training and competency assessment regime, including risk management and safety performance monitoring for engineering staff, with a specific focus on ERTMS/ETCS.
Responsible for the generation and delivery of training material that ensures Colas Rail staff achieve compliance with Railway Standards, Industry Codes of Practice, strategies and policies significant to the ERTMS/ ETCS signalling system maintenance.

7. Supports operational unit managers in assessing risks, drawing up and monitoring the action plan, monitoring and checking regulatory compliance, monitoring indicators, processing relevant external requests (local residents, administrations, etc.).
8. Supervises audit or inspection processes meant to monitor compliance with established quality standards
9. Supports the Works or Industries operational staff: helps with risk analysis (jobs, projects, industries, quarries, etc.), helps in the organization and preparation of starters and QSE point, etc.
10. Ensures controls: performs cross-audits for the Group, the subsidiary, carries out audits for his/her scope, etc.
11. Ensures monitoring: advises and monitors the processing of these audits carried out in his/her area, ensures the application of the Group's directives, alerts in the event of malfunctions, etc.
12. Manages training: assists the training and operations department in identifying training requirements, conducts awareness sessions, etc.
13. Supports purchasing: ensures the reporting of malfunctions in framework agreements, advises on the choice of protective equipment, etc.
Key Responsibilities
14. Ensure effective systems are in place to manage ERTMS/ETCS Training and Competencies.
15. Co-ordinate training and re-certification of artisans and plant operators.
16. Maintain the staff competency data base.
17. Develop training and assessment documentation.
18. Assist with Technical, Safety & incident investigations as required.
19. Analyses, forecast, plan and monitor the competency management system.
20. Attend meetings as business requirements.
21. Lead and participate in Business & Safety meetings as required.
22. Ensure compliance with all company standards and procedures.
23. As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.
24. Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
