Salary Scale: £29,000 - £33,500 pro rata to hours worked
Main duties of the job
We are currently recruiting for a Specialist Therapist to work within our Children, Young Peoples and Families Team across Hartlepool & Stockton. The successful candidate will offer consultation, clinical assessment and psychotherapeutic counselling to children, young people and their families (CYPF) who have experienced complex trauma.
You must have the right to work in the UK as we are currently unable to offer working visa opportunities.

Job responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Undertake highly skilled assessments of clinical need, including risk assessments, considering children's developmental, attachment, trauma and cultural needs.
* Provide outcomes-focused trauma and attachment therapy with children and families who have experienced trauma.
* Work within the principles of CYP IAPT ensuring the appropriate use of routine outcome monitoring tools.
* Explore and evaluate clinical treatment using evaluation tools, contributing to evidence-based practice.
* Create and maintain effective working relationships with Headteachers, Deputy Heads, SENCOs, Pastoral Team, and wider teaching staff.
* Ensure that the needs and views of children and young people are at the heart of everything we do.
* Keep coherent records of all training and clinical activity in line with Alliance's service protocols.
* To take part in multi-agency meetings, including Early help / Child in Need/ Child Protection meetings.
Person Specification
Experience
* A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a child & adolescent counsellor/ psychotherapist.
* Demonstrable experience of providing outcomes-focused therapy to children, young people and their families.
* Experience of sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues and other professionals.
* Experience of participation in multi-agency planning and safeguarding work.
Qualifications
* A recognised professional qualification in psychotherapy or counselling at a minimum of Dip/PGDip level or above.
* Specialist skills or training in specific trauma or attachment therapies (e.g. EMDR, TF-CBT, Theraplay, DDP etc).
