Job Scope
To assist with the running of our Pallet Network operation. Including admin duties as well as planning deliveries.
Main Responsibilities
* Create load lists and manage relevant paperwork
* Contact other depots to ensure deliveries are going ahead
* Communicate with drivers to ensure all deliveries are done in a timely manner
* Help drivers deal with on the road issues
* Upload POD’s and Paperwork to the system
* Allocate jobs to the trunk
* Book in deliveries
* Print labels and match with correct Paperwork
* Allocate paperwork for drivers runs
* Liaise with customers to ensure delivery runs smoothly
* Collaborate with the transport team to optimise fleet utilisation
In addition, the post holder will be expected to:
* Undertake reasonable requests from managers in line with the range and scope of the post.
Competencies/Personal Requirements/Experience
* Experience in Logistics, Warehousing and Transport
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Attention to detail and IT proficient
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Strong teamworking skills
* Knowledge of a pallet network operation would be an advantage
