Your Responsibilities:
* Support architectural teams throughout pre-construction and construction, ensuring that project information is accurate and up to standard.
* Advise on specification and procurement strategies for both UK and international projects.
* Prepare and update project specifications to comply with legal requirements, codes, and local standards.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in building techniques, materials, and technical regulations to support ongoing work.
* Work closely with other departments, including design, sustainability, and project management, to ensure seamless project coordination.
* Oversee the maintenance and refinement of master specifications used within the practice.
* Participate in meetings to help prepare project documentation and track project milestones.
What We’re Looking For:
* A background in producing architectural specifications for construction projects.
* Strong understanding of current building methods, materials, and industry standards.
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
* Excellent organisational skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software tools.
* Flexibility to travel occasionally for short assignments.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with specifications for projects in the UK, the US, or the Middle East.
* Familiarity with construction practices in the Middle East or Far East.
* Knowledge of software such as MicroStation or InDesign.
* Additional language skills would be a plus.
