Location: Nottingham (Hybrid) - 3 days in office/branch - with travel to cover the Midlands

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support senior leaders in building the capability of the organisation to achieve and deliver short term business performance targets and the longer-term strategy. You will create sustainable value through a People Plan focussed on transformational and cultural change.
About the role
* Develop People Plans focused on culture and transformational change that are aligned to business goals and adapted for changing needs
* Provide informed HR consulting to stakeholders to ensure that business and people plans and priorities are aligned
* Leadership, coaching and line management of Business Partners
* Work with BPs to lead and/or support on change management projects and proactively engage with trade unions to mitigate risk and diffuse potential conflict, particularly around the deployment of change activities as part of transformation
* Collaborate with HRS, CoE’s and other stakeholders to ensure the appropriate governance and deployment of cyclical people processes including compensation, engagement, performance management, talent and succession
* Lead HR project work across the region, engaging with Business Partners and stakeholders
About You
* Trusted advisor, able to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders to effectively challenge and build consensus.
* Collaborative approach and ability to think critically, logically and analytically.
* Resilient and tenacious.
* Adaptability and flexibility of approach; comfortable with ambiguity and able to balance multiple priorities effectively.
* Change management, able to act as a change agent and support stakeholders in managing change.
* Deep understanding of the business and commercial challenges and future business strategy and how these impact on the customer.
* Independent minded; able to champion the organisation view with stakeholders.
* Well-developed negotiation and influencing skills.
Experience
* Operational HR experience – essential
* Track record in effectively influencing senior leaders – essential
* Change management experience and supporting the deployment of change - essential
* Working within a Unionised organisation – desirable
* Strong HR technical experience including current employment law
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
* Degree qualified or equivalent.
* CIPD qualified desirable.
