Description
This is a field-based role where installs will be in a 1 hour and 30 minute travel time in and around Salisbury. On the occasions when overnight stays are required, you'll be paid a bonus for these.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Heating Engineer to join our expanding field-based team. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting our Heating Engineers in installing our Midea air source heat pumps, allowing our customers to heat their home in a greener way.
At Good Energy our installation teams are passionate about delivering the highest standard of quality for our customers, outstanding workmanship as well as safe and compliant install. We're all about ensuring that our customers receive the highest levels of service, to support them in revolutionising the way they heat their home.
Day to day during installs your team will consist of an Electrician and a Heating Engineer, who you will work closely with to learn and develop your knowledge, skills, confidence and capability. We’re looking for someone who strives to go above and beyond for our customers, looking to exceed their expectations wherever possible, as you’ll be a huge part of their journey with us. Our ideal candidate is confident and decisive when required, to ensure that installations are completed safely and effectively.
Accountabilities:
* You'll support our Heating Engineers by helping run pipework, hanging radiators, delivering and demonstrating quality technical expertise to install our Midea heat pumps.
* You'll work in close collaboration with our Electricians to ensure customers' heating systems are installed safely, on time and to a high standard of workmanship.
* You'll deliver high SHE standards to keep yourself, our customers and colleagues safe.
* You'll thrive when continually developing yourself technically and maintaining your industry and onsite knowledge to keep health, safety and compliance at the top of your priorities.
* You'll provide our customers with the very best customer experience, putting their needs first.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable team player who brings honesty and integrity to everything you do. You'll have hands-on experience working alongside a Heating Engineer, Plumber, or similar trade, with skills in tasks like running pipework and installing radiators. Ideally, you hold a Level 2 NVQ in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (or an equivalent qualification). While you don’t need experience with air source heat pumps, we’ll provide the training and support you need to grow your skills and advance toward becoming a fully qualified Heating Engineer.
You'll be passionate about delivering top-quality installations and take pride in creating an exceptional customer experience. You’re driven to learn and develop, always looking for ways to progress in your career. As a natural communicator, you'll excel at building strong relationships with both customers and colleagues. You’re positive, proactive, and bring a can-do attitude to the team, contributing to a collaborative and solution-oriented work environment.
As a problem solver, you’re flexible and adaptable, ready to tackle new challenges in a fast-moving and evolving industry. You always strive to do what’s best for the customer and the business.
