Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
This post has arisen following the restructuring of the director team. The team consists of three directors reporting to the Chief Executive. The role is to support Aqua's Board leading the implementation of the three-year strategy.
You will join a hugely experienced senior team who will each drive different elements of the strategy, working dynamically together, in order to respond to the changing needs of the business. The internal structures and staffing configurations currently sit around three portfolios. There is an expectation and culture of cross-portfolio working and Aqua is committed to further development of matrix working which affords the greatest flexibility in managing staff capacity, capability, and overall resources. This enables us to deliver tailored solutions for our members and customers.
This director post will work with colleagues to further develop and embed effective internal working practices, adopting continuous improvement approaches to enhance performance, improve staff satisfaction and well-being and drive the culture for sustainable excellence.
Main duties of the job
Each director will undertake delivery practice and hold an extensive independent workload, taking lead responsibility for providing support to customers, acting as an external change agent, and combining this with undertaking a shared senior strategic role within the organisation, leading the design and development of the wider Aqua offers.
This post holder will lead on a portfolio which currently includes responsibility for:
1. Culture and leadership and organisational development approaches.
2. Lived Experience, including Person Centred Care, Shared Decision Making and Personalised Care approaches and self-management support.
Directors are required to engage in extensive direct delivery activity at expert practitioner level on topics aligned with their own areas of improvement experience or expertise. Directors regularly advise and lead development activities for UK-wide and international customers including provider Trusts, Systems and partnership Boards and very senior system leadership teams.
This responsibility encompasses new product development, the delivery of agreed work to time, budget and expected outcomes, and the line management of associated staff, associates, and affiliates. This responsibility includes recruitment, selection, the setting of objectives, performance management, training and development and personal support.
Please note that the current portfolio structure is subject to review and change as the new strategy takes shape.
