Responsibilities:
* Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons, providing support to individual students or small groups. Take responsibility for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring continuity in the learning process.
* Curriculum Development: Contribute to the planning and development of curriculum resources. Adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring inclusivity in the learning environment.
* Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assist in assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and teachers. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs).
* Behaviour Management: Foster a positive and respectful learning environment. Implement behaviour management strategies, working closely with the school's policies and procedures.
* Supporting Special Educational Needs (SEN): Provide targeted support for students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met. Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to implement interventions effectively.
* Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Attend parent-teacher meetings and other school events as required.
* Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about educational best practices and innovations. Contribute to the development and delivery of training sessions for support staff as needed.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. Possess HLTA status or equivalent experience and qualifications.
* Experience: Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role. Experience working with students across different age groups and abilities.
* Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Attributes: Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting student development. Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced educational environment.
