Role Purpose The Scottish Borders Organisational Development Team have a vacancy for a 12 month maternity cover Practice Learning and Development Officer post. An excellent opportunity for anyone looking to progress their career in Learning and development, the team is located at Scottish Borders Council Headquarters in Newtown St Boswells in the heart of the beautiful Borders countryside but still within reasonable commuting distance of Edinburgh and the Lothians. The role primarily supports the Social Work department at Scottish Borders Council, applying the full learning cycle to ensure colleagues have the skills and knowledge required to delivery their role responsibilities. The council operates a flexible working policy and this role is hybrid. The successful candidate will be working alongside colleagues from a number of roles including organisational development, human resources, social work, social care, health and safety, and NHS/Third sector partners.
