Job Openings Finance Administrator – (German Speaker)

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a fluent German-speaking Finance Administrator to join our Finance team in London. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling transactional finance tasks whilst also collaborating with members of our team in the UK, France and Germany, as well as external partners such as our Accountants in Germany.
The Plot Thickens: Job Description
* Transactional Finance: Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, expense claims, and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
* Bank Reconciliations: Ensure all bank transactions are recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
* Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage payments to suppliers and track outstanding invoices.
* Liaison with German Tax Accountants: Work closely with our external accountants in Germany to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
* VAT & Tax Compliance: Support VAT return preparation, ensuring compliance with UK and German regulations.
* Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial summaries and month-end reconciliations.
* Ad-hoc Finance Support: Take ownership of various finance-related administrative tasks and assist with audits and process improvements.
The Hero’s Background: Qualifications
* Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
* Experience in bookkeeping or finance administration, ideally within an agency or SME environment.
* Proficiency in accounting software (experience in Sage 50 would be an advantage).
* Experience using Microsoft Office 365.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Understanding of German accounting and tax practices is highly desirable.
* Self-starter mentality: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication skills, with confidence in liaising with teams across different countries and at all levels.

The Office
This role is hybrid, with two days in the office and three working from home. We all gather in the office every Wednesday, so we can do our 1:1s, training, meetings and brainstorms face-to-face (it also means that we can nip out for lunches together or a quick drink after work).
