The rotations cover a broad range of specialties including all core areas of physiotherapy, as well as some specialist areas not offered on many programs. You would be working in a friendly environment, supported by highly experienced senior clinicians and CPD, involvement in audit and service improvement are actively encouraged. This post is suitable for current B5's alongside students graduating this summer or who have just graduated. All new graduates are supported by the trusts preceptorship program. Rotations are of 4 months duration across a range of specialties including: Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation - Medicine, Surgery & ITU/HDU Cardiology Older People's Medicine, rehabilitation and the front door Hyper-acute and Acute Stroke Units Haematology, oncology and palliative care Trauma & Orthopaedics - Spinal, elective surgery and acute rehabilitation Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery & Hand Therapy Musculoskeletal Outpatients, spinal and rheumatology Women's Health Paediatrics Main duties of the job As post holder you will work within teams of Physiotherapists and Assistant staff undertaking a variety of non-clinical and clinical tasks to support the delivery of physiotherapy services to our patients. As a Physiotherapist on this rotation you will: Be responsible for the physiotherapy management of patients with a variety of conditions within the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Be required to assess and manage your own caseload of patients, determine clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated, and maintain own records as a legally autonomous practitioner. Patients may present with a range of complex needs, such as multi-trauma, multi-pathology, altered perception and communication difficulties. Participation in the out-of-hours rotas for on call, weekend and Bank Holiday working is a requirement of the post, after full training and this is well supported initially. Participation in 7-day rotas will be required and, in some rotations, extended-days. Short listed candidates will be expected to be able to attend face to face interviews.
