An exciting and rare opportunity has become available for Bank Chefs to assist in providing an excellent catering service within Ayr Clinic. We are looking for someone who is flexible, can cover shifts predominately in our step down services at the weekends, along with covering annual leave and sickness across Ayr Clinic chef roles. Core shifts worked over 07:30 to 18:00.

The Ayr Clinic, with its two step down services - Gatehouse and Lochlea, is a low secure setting, caring for men and women with mental illness and/or personality disorders.
About the Role
You will report to the Head Chef and together with the team you will ensure patients, staff and visitors are offered tasty and nutritious meals which are prepared to a high standard. You will have excellent communication skills, basic IT skills and be flexible and adaptable in your role. We expect you to listen, be kind and do everything in your power to help us hit the highest standards.
Together with the Catering Team, you will ensure that the healthcare team is supported to deliver high-quality care.
What we need from you?
1. Numerate, literate and qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent & basic qualification in food hygiene.
2. Organises and prioritises own workload within established procedures.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
4. Ability to monitor costs and liaise with suppliers.
5. Good organisation and time management.
6. Knowledge of specialised diets may be required (Dysphagia, Allergens, etc.).
7. First-class customer service skills.
