Senior Social Worker - Referral and Assessment Team

Role Overview: As a Senior Practitioner in our Referral and Assessment Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the needs of children and families in Oxfordshire are met effectively. This team receives all new referrals from the MASH and conducts thorough child and family assessments to determine the best course of action. With our investment in staffing, you'll enjoy lower caseloads, enabling you to provide top-quality interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct child and family assessments to determine appropriate support and interventions.
2. Carry an average caseload of 8 families, allowing for focused and impactful social work.
3. Work within a relationship-based practice framework to build positive relationships with families and professionals.
4. Engage in a dedicated two-week induction program upon joining, ensuring you're equipped with the tools and knowledge to excel in your role.
5. Benefit from reflective 1-1 supervision with accessible managers to provide support when needed.
Requirements:
1. Registered Social Worker with SWE/HCPC and relevant qualifications.
2. Passionate about working with children and families, with a focus on positive outcomes.
3. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Location: Bromley Civic Centre, with flexible/hybrid working options available.
Salary and Benefits:
1. £43,421.00 to £46,454.00 annum, plus additional benefits including a lease car.
2. Annual retention payment of up to £3500 and a £3500 Golden Hello.
3. 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).
4. Duty arrangements are 1 week out of 4 on intake - combination of office, community and home working.
5. A comprehensive Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
