What does the job involve (key duties and responsibilities)?
Convert raw materials (Titanium, Stainless steel and Nickel Alloy) and purchased parts into saleable manufactured products, using production tooling and machinery in accordance with relevant engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
Ensure that the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) is used for the operations being performed.
Adhere to the required standards of behaviour and discipline both on site and in college.
Utilise tools and machinery in a safe manner and in accordance with all safety instructions.
Demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Maintain a high standard of health and safety based upon safe working practices.
What qualifications, key skills and experience do I need?
1. Grade 3 or above in GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English and two other subjects
2. Ability to follow instructions during on and off the job training
3. Positive attitude to learning new skills both on site and at college
4. Excellent timekeeping both on on site and at college
5. Receive, retain, and process information both on and off the job
6. Maintain high levels of accuracy and error checking
