About the role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Archaeological Surveyor to join our Essex based team and support our fieldwork projects. Working with the support of a Senior Surveyor and Geomatics Manager, you will undertake a range of survey tasks including staking out trenches, site survey using TST and GNSS equipment, capturing and processing photogrammetric data, and processing survey data using GIS and CAD software. You will also provide training and support to fieldwork teams. You must be able to work independently, as well as contribute positively to the wider fieldwork and survey team.
You are likely to have a minimum of 18 months experience working in UK commercial archaeology and have a degree in archaeology or a related discipline. You will also have experience of excavation and recording to a high standard and may have experience of supervising or training others.
A driving license is essential for this role.
This is a core post providing the opportunity to join our established team based out of Witham, near Chelmsford, Essex.
