Beverley Minster C of E Primary School are looking for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children to join our friendly and dedicated team of Teaching Assistants who play a vital role in supporting and assisting the teaching, learning and care of children within our school.
The working hours are 32 hours per week, from 08:30am to 15:30pm Monday to Friday during the school term. Your actual salary will be £17,945.37 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities associated with this role involve facilitating the participation and learning of pupils either individually or in small groups, helping to build confidence and self-esteem, including but not limited to:
* clarifying and explaining instructions;
* ensuring pupils are able to use equipment and materials provided; including moving and handling to meet a child’s individual needs;
* assisting in identified areas, e.g. language, behaviour, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting/presentation, the use of ICT, social skills and EAL;
* helping pupils to concentrate on, and finish work set;
* meeting the physical needs of pupils as required whilst encouraging independence;
* liaising with the class teacher and SENCO about individual needs;
* developing appropriate resources to support the pupil(s).

What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who is compassionate, engaging, versatile and committed to ensuring every individual child receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be.
The successful applicant will have good literacy and numeracy skills, a level 2 TA qualification (or willingness to work towards) and the ability to work collaboratively within a team with minimal supervision.
The anticipated start date will be the 22nd of April 2025.
