Team Leader
Location: Dingwall, Scotland
Salary: £26,000 (with a review after 6 months)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexibility required)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Appeals Team Leader to join our client's dynamic team in Dingwall. In this role, you will supervise a team of agents, ensuring performance targets are met while fostering a positive and supportive work environment. You will also take on key administrative responsibilities, including performance management, training, and ensuring the team's ongoing development.
Key Responsibilities of a Team Leader:
1. Lead a team of agents, ensuring daily targets and KPIs are achieved.
2. Supervise workloads and performance, providing regular feedback to the team.
3. Report on KPIs and performance to the Operations Manager, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
4. Oversee key administrative tasks including rotas and quality checks.
5. Maintain documentation for the department, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
6. Provide coaching, additional training, and performance support to agents.
7. Identify skill gaps and implement strategies to close them.
8. Assist with recruitment, induction, and onboarding of new employees.
9. Drive motivation, morale, and productivity within the team.
10. Lead by example, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, system updates, and compliance regulations.
12. Implement changes and improvements as necessary to maintain a high-performing team.
Skills as a Team Leader:
1. Proven leadership experience, preferably in a team-based or customer-facing environment.
2. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
3. Passion for developing and coaching teams, with the ability to identify and address skill gaps.
4. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and productive team atmosphere.
5. Knowledge of the debt recovery industry and willingness to stay informed about changes and best practices.
6. Flexibility and adaptability in response to shifting priorities and needs.
