Hours : 40 hours per week
Annual Salary: £31,650.00 - £47,338.00 (M1 – UPS2)

The Role:
We are looking for a passionate, inspirational and engaging SEN Teacher –Pathways to deliver high quality teaching and learning experience to our wonderful young people both inside and outside our classrooms. Our therapeutic approach based upon PACE and Thrive, helps our students feel safe to break down barriers and access their learning in our home from home setting.
We recognise our young people want the same opportunities as their peers and we are therefore taking all the best parts of mainstream education and making it even better within our specialist environment. We are now ready to further develop our curriculum and introduce greater specialism offering with GCSE and Post-16 qualifications in health and social care, construction and IT and Computing Development as well as the development of a Life Skills Curriculum Pathway.

Whether you are experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, we recognise that relationships are key and putting the right person with our pupils is the most important thing. Therefore, we want the best person for the role to meet the needs of our young people.
We are seeking an exceptional individual who is not only highly motivated but also possesses the following experience and skills:
* A fervent desire to enhance the lives and skills of our students.
* Experience of delivering (or ability to deliver) a range of Life Skills Pathways to enable our young people to thrive
* Experience or awareness of Thrive and ELKLAN methodologies.
* The ability to lead on the development of curriculum areas at Post 16. We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer: Life Skills Levels 1 and 2 or have experience in delivering: health and social care, hair and beauty, construction, or IT and computing development.
Key duties:
* The successful candidate will be required to teach a range of these curriculum areas as well as develop the Long term, medium term and short term curriculum alongside our Senior Team.
* Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Maintain and use short, medium and long term plans in delivering the curriculum.
* Set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual.
* Monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures.
* Maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development.
* Develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.
* Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
* PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
* Experience of working with pupils with SEMH or ASC needs or significant SEND and challenging behaviour
* Experience of delivering up to GCSE and Post-16
Desirable:
* Postgraduate diploma in SEN
* Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs
* Experience of teaching in a specialist environment
