At St George & St Paul’s in Tiverton, youth work is an important part of their ministry and this role is a key appointment. They are not looking for someone to continue the current position but want someone with the discernment and energy to build new initiatives, and if necessary, the strength and diplomacy to change or close some of what they do at the moment.
They long to help young people discover Jesus and share Him with others, grow in their relationship with Him, and develop meaningful relationships with each other. Building on the foundations of solid children’s and youth work in the church, they are looking for the right person who loves Jesus and loves young people! Please be assured of their prayers as you seek whether God is calling you to join them.
About the role
* Working with St George and St Paul’s young people and developing opportunities for all 11-18 year olds connected to St George and St Paul’s to grow as whole life disciples.

* Leading the development and growth of a joint youth/children’s strategy in conjunction with the Children’s Minister and the Vicar.
* Communicating the vision and strategy to the young people, youth teams, and the congregation.
* Working with the Children’s Minister to look at whole life discipleship at all stages and ensuring all activities are mutually supportive, and to facilitate smooth transitions from Year 6 to Year 7, and be available to support and help when needed. Their expectation is you would work together creating a strong team along with existing volunteers to meet the needs of all children and young people across the church.
Application Process
* Closing date for applications: 31st December 2024, but applicants should note that they review all applications on a rolling basis and therefore early application is advised. They reserve the right to close to new applications early.
