We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to ensure the accuracy of all accounting transactions, efficient period-end close processes, and continuous improvement. This role involves identifying opportunities to enhance accounting and transactional processes, liaising with various divisions and departments to provide feasible solutions, and determining the commercial and customer impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Results:
1. Participate in gross profit and balance sheet accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.
2. Provide assurances to support the team on the accuracy and completeness of results within pre-set timelines.
3. Develop and produce key daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, within area of responsibility, articulating key drivers to support monthly results calls.
Commercial Impact/Advisory:
1. Offer high-quality financial accounting support and guidance based on commercial understanding, market conditions, and divisional objectives.
2. Advise on the reporting, accounting, and process impact of system and process changes.
Process & Data:
1. Investigate accounting activities, document procedures, and propose improvements.
2. Execute process improvement projects, collaborating with the accounting, commercial and operations teams.
3. Act as a catalyst for change, challenging current processes based on sound financial and commercial reasoning, with improved efficiencies in processing time and upgraded information.
4. Liaise with stakeholders, including IT and system support, on key projects and developments, resolving technical queries and providing sustainable solutions.
Control:
1. Oversee Balance Sheet control and review, for accounts in scope, supporting process and efficiency improvements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1. Qualified Accountant with relevant experience (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
2. Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
3. Knowledge of SAP and DBS is beneficial.
4. Strong financial, reporting, and analytical skills.
5. Ability to engage senior stakeholders and articulate financial impacts to non-finance stakeholders.
6. Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
7. Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
