To contribute to the achievement of DiaSorin’s sales growth, profitability, and reputational objectives by providing responsive, effective, and professional technical service and support to customers via phone and via site visits, always with the aim of maximising equipment uptime and productivity.
* Assist the customer with any technical issues by phone support, with response-time as defined within customer contract (typically 1 working hour).
* Attend customer site to troubleshoot and repair any reported equipment faults, with response-time as defined within customer contract (typically same-day or next-working-day).
* Complete all preventative maintenance (PM) in accordance with defined schedules, and to DiaSorin corporate standards.
* Install any upgrades necessary to maintain Instrument performance, safety, and reliability in accordance with defined deadlines.
* Document all service activity within DiaSorin’s corporate service management application, and in accordance with defined standards and timeframes.
* Provide first level engineering support for installation and decommissioning of instruments.
* Provide support for the interfacing of instruments to laboratory computer systems.
To provide first-line support of any IT components (PC/printer/software) provided by DiaSorin as an element of their product offering.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or appropriate HNC/HND in Biomedical and/or Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as field service engineer within a medical laboratory environment, or as medical laboratory technician having a demonstrable practical aptitude and interest in engineering. Strong applicants without such experience, but with good experience of complex electro-mechanical equipment gained in a highly regulated industry would be considered.
Electromechanical and fluidic systems experience.
Computer expertise, with a good knowledge of MS Windows (principally Windows 10 but also some legacy versions).
Skills:
Time management.
High attention to detail.
Ability to write clear and concise technical reports.
