Pinnacle Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to foster an efficient and positive workplace culture, delivering exceptional housing management services to service families across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and the East Midlands. This role is based on the landmark National Accommodation Management Services contract for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), which has been providing housing management to approximately 49,000 service family homes since March 2022.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Area Manager will lead, support, and develop a team of mobile Housing Officers across the designated geographical area. The team will focus on delivering high-quality, family-centered services throughout the occupancy cycle, enhancing the lived experience of families during moves, repairs, and maintenance. Building strong collaborative relationships with local industry partners, DIO, stakeholders, family federations, military liaison officers, and senior service personnel is crucial.
Travel and Location
This role requires frequent travel across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and the East Midlands, with a flexible day-to-day location to meet evolving needs. It is a hands-on position, with a minimum of four days per week in the field working directly with teams, customers, and clients. Occasional national travel may also be necessary. Key Responsibilities
1. Provide services to families throughout the occupancy cycle, including planning, attending, and administering pre-move out, move-out, pre-move-in, move-in, and 14-day observation visits, working collaboratively with industry partners.
2. Ensure occupancy standards are met and recharges allocated appropriately through audits, staff training, coaching, and feedback analysis.
3. Deliver sensitive housing services during occupancy, including aids and adaptations (ANDA) and welfare/support needs.
4. Develop and maintain regional estate management plans in partnership with stakeholders.
5. Deliver the regional housing element of CAAS.
6. Lead planning, monitoring, and approval of housing officers' schedules to ensure sufficient time for appointments and improve families' lived experiences.
7. Coordinate with the Regional Manager and other area managers on planning and resource needs, including large-scale moves and cross-regional support.
8. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated support and services.
9. Work with the Customer Solutions Manager to investigate and resolve complaints, councillor, and MP inquiries, addressing immediate learnings.
10. Recruit, supervise, coach, support, and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with Pinnacle's performance framework and values.
11. Manage daily staff operations, ensuring high standards of health and safety for staff and families.
12. Contribute to budget planning and resource management to ensure value for money.
Minimum Requirements
* At least 2 years of management experience in a complex operational environment.
* Preferred experience in housing management or community-based services.
* Proven success in implementing service change and innovative working methods.
* Full driving license.
* Passion for providing enhanced services to service families.
