In this role, you will collaborate with designated hospitals and health centres to educate and support patients, undergoing Oncology/Chemotherapy treatments, within the Glasgow area. You will be responsible for ensuring services are delivered in a patient-centric, customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake clinical assessment of patient's needs
* Conduct training and education to ensure patient and/or carer are able to safely self-medicate relevant medications
* Provide on-going support to patients, through the combination of support programmes. Including telephone, clinic-based and home visits, as per product and client protocols
* Assess patient's home environment, to ensure it is suitable for home IV oncology treatment, including ensuring the environment is safe and secure

Requirements for this role:
* Registered Nurse (RGN) - NMC Registration
* Chemotherapy delivery qualification
* Experience in administering oncology medication, either in hospital or a community environment
* Experience in undertaking clinical assessments and administering sub-cutaneous injections
* Experienced in the care of IV devices and administration of IV therapies
* Clinical skills required include: clinical assessment, administering I.V. injections, cannulation and phlebotomy skills
