Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Nurse to support the expansion of our thrombectomy service. The successful candidate will be based at Royal Hallamshire Hospital, with the potential to cover cross-site duties at Northern General Hospital as needed.
The successful candidate will work with a team providing comprehensive interventional radiology nursing for a wide variety of procedures, including thrombectomy, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and biopsy, and collaborate closely with the medical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will participate actively in an on-call rotation, covering nights and weekends, to support emergency procedures and patient care.
Previous experience in radiology is an advantage; however, candidates with theatre or Cath lab experience are very welcome to apply.

Main Duties of the Job
* To provide clinical nursing care to a diverse range of patients and support to carers within the clinical environment as part of the multi-agency team, within normal working hours and on call.
* To act as supervisor to junior members of staff and students.
* To take charge of the department in the absence of Senior Sister/Charge Nurse cross-site as required.
* To ensure the highest standards of care are delivered.

Qualifications
* Registered NMC Nurse
* To have completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
* Advanced Diploma in Nursing Studies or equivalent or 1st level Degree in Nursing
* Holds or working towards first level degree
* Evidence of Management & Leadership Development qualification or equivalent gained through a combination of experience and short courses
* PgCert
Skills and Knowledge
* Intermediate Life Support
