About the Production Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. You will focus on developing a skilled, multitalented team and driving performance while manufacturing safe, legal food and reducing non-conformities. Your aim will be to meet business KPIs related to customer service, product quality, yield, labour efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, emphasising continuous improvement.
Key tasks
1. Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities while maintaining equipment and monitoring processes for efficiency and consistency.
2. Supervise, train, and schedule staff to meet performance, safety, and productivity goals, fostering a positive work culture.
3. Ensure product quality and food safety compliance, conduct regular checks, and maintain a safe working environment through risk assessments and safety enforcement.
4. Manage raw materials, reduce waste, and record production data to support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
1. Proven production/manufacturing experience (Salsa Accreditation Facilities preferred) and food safety standards (HACCP certification advantageous).
2. Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills to thrive in high-pressure environments.
3. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and compliance.
4. Excellent organisational abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills.

The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm with a 1-hour break.
