The Employee Relations Assistant will provide a professional customer-focused service to managers and staff, dealing with routine queries and escalating issues to Senior ER Advisors as appropriate.
Main duties of the job include:
* Review and action communications for the Employee Relations team, providing basic advice and support to managers on terms and conditions and the Trust’s written employment policies.
* Act as the first port of call for HR enquiries, providing routine advice and referring to Senior ER Advisors as appropriate.
* Provide administrative support in arranging formal and informal meetings, including drafting letters.
* Responsible for taking and transcribing minutes.
* Act as a dedicated point of contact for staff going through investigations.
* Maintain accurate employee relations records in ESR in line with GDPR.
* Promote equality and diversity in all aspects of HR practice.
* Support the coordination and delivery of wellbeing and inclusion activities and events.
* Maintain information on the staff Intranet.
* Facilitate the administration of the job evaluation process.
* Maintain employment policies and contribute to policy review.
* Respond to subject access and freedom of information requests.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to A level standard or equivalent level of knowledge.
* Experience of ESR/ORACLE systems.
* CIPD Foundation Certificate Level 3 or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
* Previous experience in a customer service environment.
* Experience in an administrative role.
* Experience in HR administration.
* Experience in the NHS or a large complex organisation.
* Previous experience of NHS terms and conditions.
* Experience in health, wellbeing, and inclusion work.
Knowledge
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Good understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
Skills
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Able to deal sensitively and confidentially.
* Able to analyse routine information.
* Minute/note taking and transcribing skills.
