Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our established psychology team as an Honorary Psychology Team Project Worker. This voluntary role is based within a substance misuse service and will provide crucial support to a multidisciplinary team comprised of psychologists, counsellors, and psychosocial intervention workers. The focus will be on providing administrative assistance, data analysis, and evaluation, as well as supporting client-facing services. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support Provide administrative assistance to the psychology team, including organising, scheduling, and documenting assessments, therapy sessions, and group interventions. Support the coordination and documentation of client care, ensuring all clinical files and records are maintained with confidentiality. Project and Data Support Assist with the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based psychological interventions and group work. Support data collection and analysis, helping to evaluate the effectiveness of the services provided and contribute to ongoing service development and improvement. Client Interaction Offer practical support during group sessions and psychological evaluations, assisting with logistics and preparation. Engage with clients in a professional, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-inclusive manner, supporting their participation in services and providing administrative assistance to psychologists and counsellors where needed. Person Specification Essential Skills and Attributes Passionate about psychology, mental health, and substance misuse services. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, particularly in handling administrative tasks. Ability to engage professionally with a multidisciplinary team and maintain confidentiality. Effective communication skills, with an empathetic and supportive approach to engaging with clients. A commitment to inclusion, ensuring all individuals feel supported and valued in their interactions with services. Flexible, initiative-taking, and willing to support a variety of project and administrative needs. Desirable Skills Previous experience or interest in substance misuse, mental health, or related fields.
