PURPOSE
To actively engage in, assist, develop and implement clinical and training programs that add value to key distributors, their customers and internal CONMED staff to leverage business opportunities, together with or as required by the Business Manager. To provide clinical and technical support and assistance to the distributor sales teams and in market surgeons to maximise sales achievement and market penetration. To assist in and manage the portfolio integration with all distributor partners and ensure all distributors and relevant CONMED staff are trained and familiar with all existing and new products and procedures. To assist in growing CONMED’s market presence in distributor markets through brand and key opinion leader development.

RESPONSIBILITIES and ROLE
* In a time, become a product and clinical expert in the area of responsibility, including but not limited to all CONMED products, main competitors and new developments within the specialty.
* Assist in developing and ensuring successful achievement of new and existing training and clinical programs for assigned products.
* Ensure products and procedures are managed and marketed based on the 4P principle – product, position, performance and promotion.
* Provide training and market reports as required and maintain appropriate records of business activities.
* Assist in delivering product launches, training, conferences, other events and labs/workshops as required.
* Collaborate on global product and procedure activities, liaise with EMEA and global training and marketing teams, provide feedback on local market conditions including voice of customer/surgeon, maintain product knowledge and assess new product opportunities.
* Assist in developing training material and tools that enhance product knowledge.
* Manage the relationships with relevant manufacturers personnel (internal and external) to ensure information is shared and feedback provided.
* Liaise with EEMEA Business Managers and undertake visits to distributors and customers to maximise relationships and understand market forces.
* Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders and key customers across the EEMEA territory.
* Provide product support to the distributor sales staff and customers through education and spending time in hospitals and the operating room.
* Deal with day to day correspondence with internal and external customers as required.
* Carry out other tasks as requested by your Manager.
* Understand and conform to company rules and policies, including business conduct, corporate ethics, quality system compliance and regulatory affairs requirements. Take affirmative steps.
EDUCATION
University Degree or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE
* Experience of working within an operating room and supporting procedural based product in Orthopaedics preferred. Preferably Arthroscopic, involving Shoulder and Knee.
* Clinical training experience within the Medical Device industry supporting operating room products preferred.
* Sales and/or Marketing experience within Medical Devices Desirable.
* Previous sales experience in the surgical environment, Orthopaedics/Sports Medicine Desirable.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILL REQUIREMENTS
* Clinical and procedural knowledge of Orthopaedics and Arthroscopy preferred.
* Presentation skills with the ability to make great first impressions and continue to influence clients.
* Ability to write, speak and present information effectively and persuasively across all communication settings.
* Ability to train and educate preferred.
* Ability to set clear goals for self and seek or obtain feedback to achieve quality, timely results.
* Able to focus on achieving positive results contributing to the Company’s business success.
* Ability to motivate others by providing regular support and feedback.
* Ability to build strong relationships and identify customer needs and priorities.
* Computer literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

* Willingness to work a flexible schedule with the need for overnight or extended stays away including weekends.
